Shalom. Jesus revealed Himself through the Scriptures to give us a fair hand. It is more important for us to see Him in the Scriptures than to see Him in person while we're still here on earth.

Amen brother! Wish I had the audio recording of that teching Jesus gave - where he was found in all of the Old Testament.
Can you imagine it?
2 hours or more of Yeshua teaching where he, the Messiah, is found.
Joseph's story alone shows Jesus.

This seemingly small passage is SO critical. I was guilty of missing it for years as well. I did the whole French Revolution, year zero thing, and looked at Christianity as a new and distinct thing. That was incredibly wrong and easily leads to dangerous misreadings of scripture. As I mulled it around and really through watching channels like yours, it occurred to me that the God of Israel IS unique. His revelation to the Children of Israel IS unique, and we must understand it as they did. I think it was NT Wright who really got me to look at it all through the eyes of a 1st century historian.

There is so much confusion over the idea that Christ came in the fullness of time. I never knew what that meant, but when I think now about how Christ came when the Roman Empire was at its zenith and when so much of the world spoke Greek, well all I can say is that God's brilliance and genius are so beyond us, but when we glimpse a portion of the plan, it's mind blowing.

Where am I going with all this? When you step back and just marvel at how the whole story is about God and how He would save the world... well now I see it as the completion of the most amazing story ever. Without the resurrection, He would have been just another poor victim of Roman brutality, but the moment He stepped out of the tomb, the greatest revolution ever had been won. The final and most terrible weapon had been taken from the hands of the dealers of death.

As St. Paul would write: death where is thy sting? Grave where is thy victory?

God be praised!

FIRST! And awesome video! I loved that intro, the stone and contrast reminded me of a parody on a video game called Thief: A Dark Project.

Great, but you forgot the most important part: Jesus is made known to them in "the breaking of the bread", the Holy Eucharist, which we must eat every week to have eternal life.

When we can truly UNDERSTAND why Jesus had to die, ...we would have no desire to sin, no worldly interests, no selfish thoughts/desires. Then, and only then, can we call ourselves: children of God 🙏 ... we should study 📖 the selfless life of Yeshua, the Messiah & contemplate 1 hour of each day on His life, especially on the closing scenes of His Earthly life. 🤔

Hi Jeff, I've just read John 11 vs 50 - 52. That Jesus died for the Jewish nation first, but also for the rest of us gentiles.
