Split Multiple Lines into Separate Cells - Excel Trick

In this video, we look at how to separate multiple lines of text into separate cells using Text to Columns.

We do not need VBA or Power Query (as great as they are) to get this job done.

We are used to providing Text to Columns with a delimiter such as a comma, space or semi-colon. Here that delimiter is a line break.

That is not a usual option with Text to Columns, but it is more than capable.

Great Trick never knew this.This trick (using CTRLJ) works with the replace function as well but allows the data in the cell to remain in the cell.
