I think a good president is someone who understands that he isn't the president of one side but the president of all of us. Someone who understands that the party that's not in power are citizens too. Someone who understands that containment of ideas and no flexibility is never the best way to run a country.

Success? We have by far the highest property insurance in the country, nearly the lowest SAT scores, nearly the worst access to health care, high taxes on the poor, low wages, etc etc. Also I thought Republicans were supposed to not be interested in government overreach. DeSantis has used and continues to use his position to do things that no Governor in Florida has ever attempted to do before. He's also said he will use his position as president to increase that overreach as much as possible bypassing the normal channels of government. Just some things to think about.

Success? He can't even set a mousetrap.

Passing a bunch of laws without voter approval is not "success." It's inflicting your will on the general public.

If DeSantis think that his work in Florida is a blueprint for the rest of the country he can keep it...

His decision to launch on twitter shows massive big decision making problems

DeSantis is getting his butt handed to him by a cartoon mouse. I can see why republicans would look at that and think "we got a winner here!"

He has success passing horrible legislation. It doesn't mean he is a successful governor. Cost of housing and housing insurance has skyrocketed under his tenure. Those of us who live here in Florida don't look at that as a boon. Except for the insurance companies. You don't have to take my word for it. Research it for yourself. You won't hear about it on FOX

I was going to vote for DeSantis but with the fight with Mickey and all this woke silliness I am going back to Trump

It appears that Ron DeSantis is the Fox Corp. candidate of choice.

We elected him to be a FULL TIME governor, period…he changed the law to skirt it (resign & run), but we expect him to fullfill his Florida oath!!!

Anyone who loves big government that endlessly meddles in the affairs of individuals and corporations and treats his supporters like morons will love DeSantis. I'll take a hard pass.

No. He is basically a Trump 2.0. He doesn't have any original ideas and just does what Trump does. The only thing he has over the others is age and that's not enough. Without Trump's endorsement he will flop and Trump will only endorse himself. Plus when you really look at Ron he isn't at bright as he thinks he is. Florida has always had a outstanding economy and he tries to take credit for it while attacking those that actually played a part of the States success. Despite Ron's may think, he has not brought more money into the state than Disney has and now he has caused other business to think twice before bringing business to Florida. If you are already very wealthy then he is your man because you are his main priority. If not then you will be forgotten once again.

No. He has a captive legislature in Flo. They just rubber stamp his laws. Good luck having that happen as pres.

i wouldn’t call him successful when he gets triggered by every bit of criticism

The answer is 'YES'. But since DeSantis is the WORST Governor in recent memory. I would say his LACK of success means he'd be as lousy as POTUS as he is in his current job!
