Social isolation affects around one in four seniors worldwide.
To help seniors fight against social isolation, our #OCBCCares volunteers will be embarking on a year-long journey to befriend and encourage seniors to participate in activities outside their homes. The emotional support provided by these social connections, formed with other seniors and OCBC staff volunteers, fosters a deep sense of community so that seniors will feel more supported. In partnership with Care Corner Singapore, we launched Care Corner ElderConnect supported by OCBC last month and aims to reach out to 3,500 seniors a year.
