Follow us:

Note: If we eliminate the parameter in a set of parametric equations, we can write one equation in x and y that is equivalent to the two parametric equations. Eliminate the parameter t and graph the resulting rectangular equation in x and y. It may be necessary to change the domain of the rectangular equation to be consistent with the domain for the parametric equation in x.

Q1. Convert the parametric equations: {(x=2t, y=5t) into cartesian equations.

Q2. Convert the parametric equations: {(x=t/( 3 ), y=e^t+t^3 ) into cartesian equations.

Q3. Convert the parametric equations: {(x=4 cos⁡t, y=7 sin⁡t ) into cartesian equations.

Q4. Convert the parametric equations: {(x=cos⁡t, y=cos^3⁡t ) into cartesian equations.
