Hello, loved your presentation, however, the slide for the cost of Carrier states Goodman costs. Are the costs the same? Thank you

I would put LG on the list as well. Models 16 to 32 SEER, ducted and ductless with cold climate models available. Cost is usually 10 to 15% less than Mitsubishi.

When I had my house built in 1978 I had a Carrier Heat Pump installed. It worked okay but after 8 years I developed a leak in the coils in the outdoor unit. The Carrier coils were made of aluminum so for all intents and purposes they were not repairable. I replaced the Carrier outdoor unit with a Bryant unit that had a coil made of copper. It lasted 20 years but finally died. My latest heat pump is a Lennox Unit. Compared to the older units the Lennox is the most sophisticated Heat Pump I have ever seen. You can barely hear it running when you are standing near it. When the original Carrier unit would cycle on it came on with almost a 'BOOM" startling anyone sitting watching TV. I see in the commentary to this video it says the Trane has an All Aluminum coil. Based on my past experience with Aluminum coils I would avoid the Trane Unit.

I believe you had an error in graphics when showing install price range for Carrier and Trane, it says "Goodman".

I am confused. If Mitsubishi is so efficient then why does Mitsubish compressors (in the 25 - 40 BTU range) not rate as Energy Star (tax rebate) certified? So far as I know (according to the pro installer, a directly phone call to the company itself AND the AHRI directory, org) Mitsubishi, most (or all Daikin) are not eligible for tax rebates in the US. What am I missing?

BOSCH should have been on the list and in my opinion at the top of your list. The BOSCH inverter drive variable capacity heat pump is the standard against what everyone else has to compete.

You miss out on the most important piece of information, how do these perform in cold climates and the lowest temperature efficiency.

Can I replace my central conventional HVAC system with a Mitsubishi unit using existing ducts and vents or do they only make split units?

I am only interested in the COP for heating at various temperatures. These numbers seem to be of no interest to the vendors.

I agree about the Lenox, I don't like it, I think something odd is going on with those products

Goodman .... LOL ! This is a joke. Fujitsu, Trane and Mitsubishi are the best.

Appears that Daikin has the best warranty with 12 years parts including the compressor, and 6 years labor.
