a. For a designer that cut his teeth, and one assumes still, his main love remains in menswear his last two women's collections for Celine has I think personally been his best work in years. And it's not just me that thinks this, my SA at Celine has said the most recent collection for women has been insanely successful.
b. Considering this collection was released a couple of days ago, the amount of detail and work you put into uncovering Slimane's references and inspirations is astonishing. As a massive Hedi and Celine fan I really appreciate your work and efforts!

Been a Hedi Slimane fan since his Dior Homme days. I think he is always 5 steps ahead. A visionary. Hedi influenced Karl Lagerfeld to lose all that weight, so he could wear Dior Homme 😊 I loved last season’s Celine film, I think I watched it 10x. This is a beautiful sequel to that. Does Hedi Slimane now belong with Chanel? It’s a matter of timing, I think. Maybe 10 years ago I would have said no. But perhaps NOW, I would say OUI, ABSOLUTEMENT. Bravo to this genius. 🎉

Loved this collection. But, did you see the latest CHANEL collection ? Looking at this, it makes me wonder, what if Hedi did CHANEL. and this was it ? The top capped shoes, the bags with the big golden logo clasp, the boxy coat and skirt, the empire waist dresses, especially those with the sequins, the ruffled lacy collars and hems, it could all have been CHANEL S/S 2025, which did remind me of CELINE, but alas, CELINE was so much better. CHANEL IMO, was boring, sad, kind of a dying gasp. Cannot wait for the new designer to come and bring it back to life.
