This Roblox Scam Infects the Roblox Website...

Discord and Roblox have two things in common: Scams and creeps. But we're taking a look at Roblox scammers today. You'll get a DM on Roblox about "buying your game / UGC item" or maybe even "getting permission to use your roblox avatar". It all leads to the same place, vikgames.

This one single scammer has adopted the name vik games, motive creations, and a couple of others. But regardless of what happens, people still go into the scam Discord server, and lose all their robux and items.

When I was a young little idiot, I fell for a much simpler version of this on Roblox. No discord involved, I just typed my password in a game. The scam dude logged into my account and bought a tee shirt thing with my last 40 Robux. I got my account back and reported the tee shirt as fraudulently purchased to Roblox, they sent me some generic "we have received your report but can't update you on the status of your report and can not remove the shirt or refund your Robux". 3 days later my account was banned for a week because the tee shirt said "shit".

Definitely taught me not to be a silly little idiot, that's for sure...

I remember receiving this message! I quickly (and easily) could figure out it was a scam.
1. Roblox marked it as misleading and dangerous.
2. ...Why'd you get DMCA'd for a Roblox avatar? IT'S AN AVATAR!

funny fact, i just got a dm on dc, the guy was saying that he wants to use my "avatar" which was just a skeleton character on roblox thats worth 175 robux and he will pay me 300 robux. i alr knew that this was a scam and played along, he sent me a tutorial teaching me how to "send my avatar" when infact it was me sending him my roblox cookie. i just wasted his time saying my internet is bad for like 15 mins till he got tired and blocked me.

It's crazy how advanced these scams got.

In 2012, a guy told me to buy this shirt for admin in his "popular" game. I believe the game had 800k visits at the time, so he said he is selling admin for his super active game in 250 robux.

I bought it, obviously got scammed. He's banned and all but that was just 250 robux. it's crazy that scammers just want to steal your account now.

The funniest part is you don't even own the copyright to your Roblox avatar Roblox does, so the devs wouldn't even need to ask for your permission or even tweak it at all to add it to their game...

After not playing for a very long time, I logged in and saw this guy asking to buy my games which had 300K+ visits. I joined their server, was a bit interested since I don't play Roblox anymore but thanks to you; I know how that verification scam works and didn't verify. Reported to Discord and left the server.

fun fact: the real reason discord is abbreviated is because Roblox has a chat filtering system, and basically if u try to type ANY other brand like YouTube, Discord, Twitter or anything (except Guilded) it will tag the whole message

I find it astounding that Roblox filters the word Discord, but is working with Discord for an event and actively gives it the AOK for game devs that time and time again have been outed for exploiting children
