Thing is most of us want to keep the microphone for some apps (like Discord) but mute it for an other app (like a game)

Almost tried 8 hours but after this finally got it . Just install your system model drivers then select headset if your using headset with mic, if you choose only headphones then only headphones speakers can work.

The computer I'm on was updated to Windows 11, and I'm just now discovering that my apps no longer pick up sound from microphone at all. No matter what I do to fix it. Every tutorial, like this one, give various ways of fixing it, and none of the instructions work. The computer's built in camera as well as voice recorder that the manufacturer put into the computer doesn't even list microphones to choose from anymore, when I pull them up. What can one do, if every fix does not fix?

You can only toggle separately Microsoft apps, but all others are under "desktop app" as one.
