Finding Incredible Artifacts and Many Levels in the Abandoned Empire Mine (Part 1)
Показать описание
What makes an abandoned mine a good one? That's easy -- when a mine warrants repeated visits in order to see everything, you know it's a good one! Nick had previously explored the lowest tunnel at the Empire Mine a couple years ago where he found significant workings. I recently joined up with him and his wife Traci to explore and document some of the upper tunnels at the Empire Mine complex. We entered a total of three tunnels this time around and were amazed at what we found!
The Empire Mine was active in the 1920s and produced copper, lead, silver, and zinc. Here in Part 1, we explore one of the major haulage tunnels at the mine and then ascend a century-old ladder in a hoist room to an upper level. In Part 2 which will be published next weekend, we descend a ladder system to a lower level where we found some really impressive artifacts that were in good condition and waiting for our arrival! To catch a glimpse of some of the loot we found on the lower level, be sure to watch the sneak-peek previews from Part 2 at the end of this video!
