The ''Silja Europa''

''Silja Europa'' is a cruise ferry owned by Tallink but techically can almost be called a cruise ship. She was launched on January 23, 1993 and christened the ''Silja Europa'' in Hamburg, Germany on March 5, 1993. She was built for Viking Line but the Swedish krona was devalued by 10%, which led Slite into economic difficulties. Slite could not pay for the ship so Meyer Werft kept it and soon managed to charter it to Viking Line's rival, Silja Line. ''Silja Europa'' was the first ship to receive the ''Mayday'' call from the sinking M/S Estonia. ''Silja Europa'' was the second ship after ''Mariella'' to arrive at the scene where ''Estonia'' capsized and sank. Later ''Silja Europa'' was bought by an Estonian company ''Tallink'' and sails under the ''Tallink'' brand to today.

Europa wasn't actually moved from one company to another, since Tallink and Silja Line are basically the same company. Tallink owns Silja Line.

Also, a Cruse ferry is not a cheaper version of a cruse ship. A cruse ferry is really closer to a ocean liner

This is good song, but not suitable for this video as she is still sailing and not dead.
Back then, when Estonia sank, Silja Europe was just 1 year & 6 months old. Basically brand new.
You did not mention or forgot most important fact, about Silja Europe - back then, at her launch, she was world biggest ferry and kept that position from 1993-2001 to pass just 11 GT. Only 2010 next world biggest ferry beat her by ~2000 tonne.
Of course, in history some ocean liners were bigger, but back then, at 1993, world biggest passenger ship Majesty Of The Seas was just 19% larger, than Silja Europe. She was really huge ship when she launched.
