This is the 1963 version and is far superior to the re-recorded version from 1986 because when he says "too bad they're only dreams, " you hear the violin, the orchestra, and his voice come together in a dramatic fashion. Everyone is doing their part to create this beautiful song. The violins are muted in the later version, and to me, this affects my enjoyment. I mean, it's still great, it's Roy Orbison, but THIS is the version for me. Those violins get right in there, and I never feel more alive than when listening to this song.
