Battle of the Buses: Diesel vs. Electric

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has committed to going to an all-electric school bus fleet by 2035. FCPS' first electric buses are on the road and are a hit with drivers and students. In Battle of the Buses, you'll see and hear the difference between a FCPS diesel school bus and an electric school bus.

As a 17 year old car enthusiast, I like the sound of the turbocharged I6 diesel buses when u accelerate, and I really don’t like the fact that y’all will replace ICE school buses with the silent and electric school buses 😒😒

I have taken this exact bus but it’s honestly not as good as the diesel bus

Electric busses are great...until that big battery turns into a giant inferno and kids die. That sure is a big gamble.
