@mouloudo no that one was a fuzz someone made for eric and he didnt like it but joe did. they then made a JB signature model based on that one. this one is a new EJ signature fuzz. joe's is germanium, this is silicon. probably why eric didnt like the one joe has. he prefers the silicon ones.

Eric Johnson's superhuman level of articulation affords him a heavier, splattier fuzz than most of us mere mortals can pull off. Also keep in mind the difference in pickups here. I don't know if you've ever played a G&L, but those pickups aren't as similar to Fender pickups as you might think - generally higher output, so even less articulation still. I bet if you go listen to an EJ clip w/ his old Fuzzfaces going, you'll be able to hear what he was going for w/ this pedal.

I dont know if this is this particular fuzz face, but if you take a look at the Joe bonamassa rig video, you'll see " eric johnson's fuzz face wich he gave me cause he didn't like it"

I liked it. BTW these NAMM videos are always lacking in sound quality giving the circumstances of the event, don't expect "Proguitarshop demos" quality people..it's just dumb.

Does the darn thing have an on/off led indicator? A lot of the early stomp boxes had no indicator and I was around in those days. When you came off break you had to try and remember what was turned on or not and that was not always easy after a few mugs or glasses of memory erase fluids, That dude should braid his beard and it's make a nice leash for his wife or girlfriend to grab when she needs him follow, but he better stay away from blenders and cake mixers, hehe. Anyway; he's a good picker.

@topgrrl1 Some Fuzz faces tend to fart out when the fuzz is @ max, I bet this pedal sounds better with the fuzz dialed at about 3-4 o'clock.

for one people a fuzz is pretty much meant to sound shitty lol, two the sound quality is shit, and three I believe in a gear setup demo I seen eric johnson runs his fuzz into an already distorted amp so I think he uses the actual amount of fuzz sparingly.... dont quote me on that though
