I really appreciate your positive videos and pods on Starfield. I’m enjoying the game very much, and just get so weary of all the negativity surrounding it. I’m just about to walk the path to become one of the promised. My current character is a UC native with the Serpent’s Embrace trait, wedded to Andreja. It’s been a really interesting trip so far.

The first mission on the space station was way harder than I expected. Let's just say I can't remember the last time I had to use a Trauma Pack. Until, well, today. LOL!!! One hell of an intro to the DLC. Well done, Bethesda.

I would eventually love to see in Starfield:
1. Radio stations for different factions! (Perhaps download at capital cities);
2. Helmet solar glare (like ship windows have) & hissing / gas if take off in non-oxygen environment;
3. HUD overlay for helmet when on;
4. Optional slow mo ‘kill cams’, combat finisher animations, & gore (like in previous BGS games);
5. Save files with thumbnail images! (like previous BGS games).
6. Codex / Bestiary of our *discovered* flora & fauna (with images);
7. Option in Gameplay Settings to only have human POI’s appear in faction solar systems or adjacent solar systems;
8. ‘Space walking' outside our ship & space stations;🪐
9. Interesting space POI’s (black holes, giant asteroids we can land on, wormholes we can fly through, etc)
10. Puzzles for the Temples!
11. Ability to swim underwater, submersibles, & a secret underwater city / faction in an expansion. 👀
12. Evil/ neutral companions & more romance options.
13. Much more extreme landscapes & weather (tsunamis, waterfalls, dense jungles, enormous volcanos, sand storms, blizzards) 🌋🏔️🏝️🌊

I am loving it so far. Took the day off work and soaked 6 hours into the DLC. I’m about 2/3rds of the way through the main quest and have only done 1 side quest in that time. There’s a lot of content here!

The exploration is very much like past BGS games. As far as I have seen, every POI is hand crafted and has some good loot. Loving how this feels to wander! The DLC as a whole feels like classic Bethesda—3 houses under House Va’ruun, all with their own ideas of how the situation should be handled, and you are the catalyst that gets to steer the faction in the direction you think is best (or worst lol).

Very happy with this—preliminary rating? 8.5/10, with the base game being an 8/10 for me.

Appreciate the no spoiler. Definetly trying to go blind, but i was also nervous because I wasn't too impressed with the game. I liked it, but I didn't. Hopefully that makes sense, but I was excited to learn about Varuun. So Far, looks good.

Thanks for sharing this. I rolled a new toon last week for this. Achievement safe, so I can get those. Still be a while before they are high enough level for this DLC though (shooting for level 40). Did not choose Serpent's Embrace, but am taking Andreja with me.

After so many hate reviews in my feed, this is refreshing...i liked the main quest and on level 158, very hard, the phantoms are sometime quite a challenge😂😂😂was fun

When you kill one of the void creatures look at their knee joints. I heard people say my knees are screaming but this is literally true 😊

Lots of locations saw an achievement about finding 50 of them

I'm a little bummed. I had a character who worshipped the Great Serpent, was engaged to Andreaja, and was in the late 20 levels. Then the mod I used to make temples less annoying apparently glitched, so the lights wouldn't appear, and I hadn't saved in hours. I used up my autosaves trying to see if it would work if I left and came back.

I got frustrated and started a new game.
