Roger Federer breaks royal protocol during Wimbledon visit

Roger Federer broke royal protocol during his visit to Wimbledon on Tuesday.

There was a slightly awkward moment between Federer and Kate when he took his seat next to her and appeared to touch her back and lean in for a kiss on the cheek.

Royal protocol dictates members of the Royal Family never be touched in public unless they offer their hand first.

The two laughed off the encounter and are understood to be on good terms; the champion is reportedly teaching Prince George how to play tennis.
