Do you know why some of the options are greyed ot and cannot be selected? Is it because of UEFI vs. legacy boot settings? Or something else?

HP Elite 8300 SFF PC, Windows 10 with VeraCrypt 1.24 Update 7, having encrypted the system partition, my system is booting to a blank screen. I can enter the password and PIM so that it boots but I am not getting the pre-boot authentication password prompts. Worryingly, a Veracrypt System Recovery Disk (USB stick) behaves the same.

I cannot get this to work. After the test (right before you start putting ur password 1:41) the hp doesnt boot automatically. I turned it on and it says “Select boot image did not Authenticate. Press <Enter> to Continue.” I pressed enter and get Boot Manager -Boot Option Menu. The first listed is OS Boot Manager (UEFI) -VeraCrypt BootLoader (DcBoot) and when i select that windows boots and it says i failed the pre-test

Also, after you enter your password on the boot screen, what do you enter for PIMS? Do you just hit enter?
