Habermas Is Lying About The Apostle Paul

Many apologists out there, including Gary Habermas, claim that the apostle Paul got his information from people on earth. He claims that Paul's message was historically sourced. This couldn't be farther from the truth because as we see in Paul's letter to the Galatians that he didn't get his information from any man. He only received his information from Jesus through visions and intense reading of the scriptures.

Ah, "wise words" from the guy who caused the first schism, and was a total misogynist. My RE teacher - a very devout, warm, loving lady who wouldn't speak ill of anyone as a rule - had no time for Paul at all lol. She took her faith directly from the teachings of Jesus - love everyone and be kind & generous to all, even if they don't deserve it, and don't get into fights. Basically, don't be evil.

She went to the Soviet Union on an evangelical trip around 1980 - so pre-Gorbachev and some sort of tolerance, risking jail. She invited me and my class of about 9 plus those in the year below (another handful) to her own home so we could see the slides 🤗.

She was 5' nothing of pure enthusiasm, love and determination! Edit: and bravery. She would go to the USSR with a handful from her church - and her beloved husband - _every year!_ She'd be protesting about the war over there right now if she were still alive & able. If she's alive, she'll be in her 90s. I do hope she is 💜

(Despite being an atheist now, I was a Christian then and studying RE as an elective subject - the two classes I mentioned were those in the two years of that elective study. I still don't regret a moment of that time.)

Anyway, she and I agreed that Paul said only one thing of any importance - the 2nd Corinthians (iirc? It was 40 years ago lol) epistle section, "when I was a child..." After that, she had no time at all for the "bigoted woman-hater!" 🤣🤣🤣

There are few teachers I still hold dear in my heart, especially after 40 years, but she's up there with a couple of other very special cases. She's one of the reasons I get so pissed off with your "Christians". These bigoted bible-belters, not the ones who are like her - I have all the time in the world for those who _actually, _ you know, _follow Jesus's teachings!_
