Friedrich (Louis Garrel) surprises Jo (Saoirse Ronan) in Massachusetts and joins the family for dinner and a song.

🎬Little Women (2019): In the years after the Civil War, Jo March lives in New York and makes her living as a writer, while her sister Amy studies painting in Paris. Amy has a chance encounter with Theodore, a childhood crush who proposed to Jo but was ultimately rejected. Their oldest sibling, Meg, is married to a schoolteacher, while their shy sister Beth develops a devastating illness that brings the family back together.

When Friedrich played the piano it made me cry remembering they lost their sister. I can't imagine the nostalgia, the memories....

Remaking a great classic, which had already been masterfully done (1994) was ambitious and risky. Thankfully it was a glorious, sumptuous production with an all star cast on top form. I loved the way they did Jo.
