It is implied that Eli can cover the bass BGVs during Geoff's solo in this one, and does so for live performances, but the official video is believed to have double-tracked Geoff instead.

Really enjoyed your reaction, Voiceplay really are second to none when it comes to show tunes or Disney. Their rendition of The Little Mermaid is a must see, Geoff as Ursula takes the biscuit! 🍪😄👍

The bass is pre recorded and when Geoff is actually taking lead, someonelse will "do the bass." depending on who is doing what in the harmonies... Though I believe Eli and Layne can produce a good bass when live. X

I'm sure others have said it already, but Geoff recorded the bass line, and Eli dubbed over it for the video. Eli covers that bass line in live shows apparently. Layne did an interview with The Charismatic Voice and they deep dive into this medley, and I believe he said Eli typically records the bass line, and the Geoff will do it over if it isn't where they want it for the studio version

You were talking about them all being so young, but all the guys are in their mid 30s in this video. They're all over 40 at present, they look and sound just incredible. They started the group over 20 years ago.

Yes this is a goodie. Yes, to answer your question Geoff did both the lead and the bass line in Shiny, but Eli lip synced for the video. Layne confirmed this in an interview. You should check out Dragonborn Comes next. You would love the theatrics in that one! 😊

I love their Disney covers! Little Mermaid, Moana, Frozen..they just make me smile. And after a crummy day, I can always count on these guys to cheer me up just a bit.

They absolutely own Disney covers. You might check out the PattyCake Productions Disney inspired items. Layne and prior baritone Tony (lead in in their Phantom cover) produce an original series called Villain’s Lair based on the Disney (animated) villains trying to escape banishment and getting back into power. Brilliant!

Eli lipsynched here, but does often back up Geoff when performing live.

I always enjoy your reactions, but I have noticed on a few that where you put the video is away from the direction you are looking. Very disorienting when you try to watch your reaction and simultaneously orienting yourself to the video.
