Pretty sure I’m about to get flooded with comments years later saying the 86 Optimus Prime crushes this one. So I’ll just say this for the record: at TWICE the price, I sure freaking hope it does lol.
I’m not sure what world we’re living in where a new doubly expensive version of a cool character suddenly makes the slightly older fantastic one considered “garbage”. Earthrise Optimus still gets most of it right, and even a few things I prefer over the commander. He’s also getting reissued, and I know plenty of people who can’t afford a $100 figure, so this one will be killer for you. Until the new version actually comes out and I try him for myself, nothing has changed for this years-old list, and even if it does that won’t change how freaking great this figure is. THAT’S how good the WFC trilogy was 🔥

I love it when you find that transformer that just fits in your hand so well n smooth and when you just understand how to transform it but its not too easy on that one bit lol and then you look at his face sculpt and just get captivated in those blank eyes and your imagination pictures them lighting up and hearing their voice you totally try to mimick when your alone lmaooo its the best feeling ever honestly

The entire WFC and adjacent lines (Studio Series '86, Netflix exclusives, Legacy) have been top-notch and are the best collection of G1 Transformers EVER!

I was an MP/3P type of collector. Once these came out, I decided to switch to the CHUG line and couldn't be happier. Also helps that they take up less shelf space, and are all in decent sclae with one another.

I am just a couple figures away from recreating the 1986 movie. I am also glad they made characters from the expanded G1 Universe like Beast Wars, and the Japanese continuity. For as nice as the higher end TFs are... the recent CHUGs work better as a collection.

This Prime figure is an example of what the classics line should have been.

Earthrise optimus was the last gift my father ever gave me before he passed away on halloween later that same year…
This figure is the crown jewel in my collection.
And for the reason stated above NOTHING will ever change that.

I bought the Kingdom release of this figure. My biggest complaint about him is that the hinge on his gun is very loose. Other that that, he's an amazing figure

I agree. Earthrise, and Legacy, have put out the best versions of G1 characters since G1
