Redrawing my old art - Sea Dragon Speedpaint (krita)

Показать описание
For todays Speedpaint (krita as usual) I decided to continue my New years tradition of redrawing my old art, this year I'm drawing my sea dragon.
Happy new year.
I got half way through the painting but then started over cause I really didn't like how it was going, but I decided to include a bit of that in the speedpaint.

The painting timelapse is sped up by 30x, it took a bit over 5 hours.
This painting is a redraw of another dragon from my old middle school sketchbook (2013) this time it's an ocean dragon (creatively named sea serpent). I talk about my painting workflow and some general art stuff.
FAQs:
Q:Do you use a tablet for digital art?
A: yes, I have a gaomon PD5160. I wouldn't recommend using a mouse for sculpting/ painting, it's really slow and kinda bad for your hands. A cheap pad tablet is pretty good to start with though, you don't need a fancy screen tablet.
Q: will you make a tutorial?
A: maybe, at some point. I'm still learning myself, and there are loads of people way more qualified to teach stuff.
music:
plus some random stuff from the YouTube audio library
