We were at the parade and for the most part, people had no idea something had happened. We only noticed when the snipers got on their rifles and scanned the crowed and helicopters came in close. People played with their kids and slowly went to their cars unaware anything happened. Police did a great job not inducing panic and eliminating the threat quickly

I've travelled to the States from NZ for many holidays and have always found Americans to be kind, open and friendly. I broke down in my rental in the middle of nowhere and within 5 mins a pick-up had pulled over to see if I needed any help. Honestly it's one of my favourite countries to visit. Then you see this on the news and it's such a disconnect.

I remember years ago when i was an active duty Marine, one of my buddies said something to me about terrorism, and i recall saying "I think REAL terrorism is when we have to worry about random shootings at schools, shopping malls, and large events". I really wish I had been wrong on this one. 😥

What will it take to hold politicians responsible for all of the anger and hatred they are creating? I have a very strong feeling. This is not just over a football game. Deep underlying heat has been stirred. Up over a stupid game. Peoples lives are now at risk. The politicians and individuals on all media should be responsible for intentionally creating this uproar and frenzy of negativity.
