Two corrections. Pig Iron results when cast iron, or hot metal as it is commonly termed in the steelmaking industry, is mounded into "pigs" in a pig mill. These are essentially little ingots that are cooled and used is solid form.
Common / everyday rail steels grades contain nowhere near the concentration of Mn indicated..check various Standards from around the world.

I thought the main medical metal used for bodily repairs was Alloys of Titanium with vanadium or niobium, not iron
