It makes sense for geomancy to have good energy gain as in the main series it's you skip a turn and gain +2 (+100%) in special attack, special defence and speed

Oblivion Wing is just dark pulse with 5 more damage, so yes it is better in neutral situations

The Geomancy generates so much energy but in the GBL the damage is nerfed so much. That’s how they balanced it. I predict We will be seeing Lots of Xerneas. The Charge moves in Xerneas’s arsenal is so effectively efficient that The Geomancy shot Xerneas up the ranking so much. Currently seems to single handily the biggest buff a Pokémon has ever received.
