A good slow warmup. Did the same thing on trumpet.
Play a little bit of the songs you're going to play, then and warmup but don't play yourself out.

It's incorrect that typing or piano, guitar playing causes any type of repition damage such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Heavy ballistic motion can damage any joint with chronic overuse. And most musicians only play when they're comfortable, thereby avoid repetitive stress damage.
