Also Ronnie “it wasn’t lifting weights that caused my back problems”

This is the exact reason why I won't go past 7 reps when squatting 600

The doctor told him not exercise for months if am not mistaken and he got back to squatting in two fucking weeks that’s pretty fucking stupid

I guess "no pain no gain" has limits

I popped my disk last year doing squats, and my nucleus pulposus (the jelly like substance in between the disks) completely left the bone and pinched my nerve that connected to my left foot. The pain was absolutely unimaginable. I started crying like a baby as a 27 year old. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I can barely move my toes, and my foot is constantly numb after surgery. I'm never squatting or deadlifting again because of this. I've seen that hack squats are a good and safer alternative.

The aging process, along with wear and tear on the body, began to show.

I’m 60yrs old and I haven’t squatted in over 25yrs, definitely the best leg exercise for growth but also the worst for putting strain on your knees and back. Leg press hack squats lunges 🙌🏿

Ronnie lifted weights next day after emergency room

i can relate but didn't do it with squats, it was leg presses. My back has never been the same and years later reinjured the same area lifting heavy leaf bags. I couldn't walk for 2 days and was hospitalized. I hobbled around after that for a few weeks. take your safety seriously

Be glad as long as you can lift yourself.

Lesson: dont ignore pain. Get treated and take care of the injury before it gets worse

You can heal from a disc injury what you cant heal from to your former self is botched back surgeries

Happened to me a few years doing squats I heard and felt that crack in my lower back and lost all feeling which in the movement going up, I went down with the bar on my shoulders which made it worse ..I was paralyzed for a few minutes, couldn't feel my legs I knew something is wrong.. eventually when I managed to get up after 30mins I was relieved, couldn't even walk out of the gym without pain tho but man was i glad to be on my feet😂 .I remember going home and taking a week off..if I carried on taking through the pain.i would have ended up not being able to again at 22yrs of age

I've actually herniated my disc in my lower back. And let me tell you, you can't even stand up straight after that. Worst pain you can imagine since your entire nerve system is back there. I was on the couch 🛋 for a week. Last thing you're doing is working out if that happens.

Huge respect to him and his awards but don't listen to them at all. They were maybe too passionate (or stupid maybe?) and they fucked up their bodies. Remember that life expectancy should increase when you engage in fitness, not decrease significantly by copious amount of drugs. A shortcut would be to snort cocaine and not workout at all.
