nice to see a review of this kit! do you have the YAK 4 as well.? i have this one as well. has its weak spots but they tried to put a lot into it with the bomb bay and cockpit, see the throttal levers! does need heavy clean up but has accurate lines! only about 400 of the YAK2-4 series were made and very little history of this type is known so we are lucky to have this kit. a interesting type, it was not a great success thus its limited service, few survied the war, it would make a nifty build! try it!

Great review! Interesting aircraft too. I have the same kit and want to build it. Amodel kits can be a labor of love but worth it in the end, lots of cleanup and test fitting. I built their Yak-1 it was a lot of work but worth it in the end.
Did you ever get around to building this one?
