Eat it Simon! Larin's red card was just successfully appealed and Larin is no longer suspended.

5:05 the ball does not need to be touching the line, it just needs to have some of its circumference on or over the line

Larin makes minimal to no contact with Kljestan, and Kljestan reacts well after the "contact". On top of it Kljestan acts like he was shot when he goes down. It's more simulation by Kljestan than it was a foul by Larin. I can't see how you can 100% support that decision.

The studs up argument isn't really fair because probably 9 out of 10 sliding tackles have a player's studs up in some form. Basically saying that Larin was rightfully sent off for that kind of play is basically anyone who makes a sliding tackle that doesn't get the ball should be immediately sent off regardless of if they actually made contact, which as I said already, doesn't appear to have actually happened in Larin's case.

Ball doesn't have to touch the line, if part of the ball is still over the line, it's legal. Hard to tell from that angle regarding the corner kick. Same as if a ball is going out of bounds, it isn't out until the whole of the ball has crossed the outer edge of the boundary line, touching or not.

That nut shot though. Sorry, CJ. Rough day for you.

In football then taking a corner or a goal kick the ball doesn’t have to be on the line or the arch. When you look down on the ball it has to look like some part of it is on the line. They are the rules in the uk anyway

The fact that you are saying that most of these are warranted, shows me that you're just sticking up for garbage officiating. MLS threaten your job if you dont? C'mon. Larin getting shown a red after a clearly embellished fall is horseshit.

All elbow incidents deserved at least a yellow or red. Pineda was busted open that definitely should of been a red. Just dangerous play. I agree that Larin's tackle was dangerous but its pretty funny since Sacha fake the injury hahahaha

2:39 - Maybe he's screening the defender who kept him onside, but, who cares? Point is, it *wasn't* offside, and the goal should've counted.

5:28 - The only reason the tackles was from behind is because Valeri turned around AS Harvey was going into his tackle. His studs weren't up either. Should've been a yellow.

The Gerrard's goal would/ should stand, at 3:30, because the player lying down isn't offside. The no. 3 is standing there...

I disagree with a red to Larin. No malicious intent there at all to me. 9 out of 10 tackles have a player showing studs at some point, that doesn't mean we should be giving red cards to every player who slides in. Latin looks to me like he's trying to ease his force of motion as he's coming in to contact the other player, definitely not worthy of a red for me.

The ball was correctly placed on the corner kick, it does not need to touch the arc.

In a earlier video Simon Borg said that "accident can lead to read cards." He referred to a tackle by RJ Allen of NYCFC, which was identical to this one. He said the Allen tackle deserved red, but then he changes his opinion when talking about Steven Gerrard. Why is this play any different?

The guy for the Galaxy who was tripped in the 80th minute was not offsides since there was an Earthquakes defender in front of him.
