Stihl SG20 How To Change Pump O’ring

preview_player
Показать описание
When you see water flowing from the upper part of the pump is time to change the oring. Also if you can’t pressurize the sprayer or if pumping becomes harder tan usual, even after lubricating it.
Tools: 1 Screw Driver and a Pair of Pliers.

Excellent Instructions! You clearly explain every step, so important to someone like me who has never done this before. Altho this isn’t the problem I am having, your information is really appreciated. The “Holding Cup” for the parts. Some instructors never even mention a simple thing like this!...You have mentioned “EVERY” part you touched...extremely important..Thank You!

Clarity is 99.5%...you did not show that there is a Metal Wire Clip tucked inside of the Rubber Washer you removed (First Step). That area is really tight to work in, so instead of removing the Top part of the Charging Rod, I removed the Charging Handle and I was able to see and remove the washer’s from the bottom. I hope I’ve made that clear. When it was all over, I was able toget pressure back ...for a short while. Then it went to a Dead-Handle..no pressure being pumped. So, I recalled that I needed to add a drop of Oil at the top of the Pressure Cylinder, inside that little black cup. I did that, refilled my tank wit h2 gal. Of water and it “Kind-of” worked but then it went back to a “Dead-Handle” again... This is a brand new unit, the O-Rings are brand new. What else can be the problem? Oct. 12, 2020

I don't know if you still get on your channel, but would you ever consider doing a video showing the whole seal kit being replaced? I cannot find any tutorials online for replacing the whole seal kit. Thanks!!

Very good video. I am having this exact problem with my Stihl SG20. My only question is, what size o-ring does it take? Thanks for the good information.

Question for you Sir...My SG20 is leaking at the top of the Compression Chamber. I was just using some Herbicide in the yard and my back was getting wet..when I took the backpack off to see where the leak was coming from, it would leak fluid every time I pumped the handle. Why is it doing this?

Hi. I bought an sg71 sprayer and within 1 month of using it it does not pressure up. I have to keep pumping it constantly to make it spray and as soon as i stop pumping it stops spraying. No one seems to help especially the dealers! Any advice PLEASE!!! The pressure gauge on the trigger shows nothing. I can use it but I have to keep pumping like mad and it feels like there is no pressure on the handle. What needs replacing?

I bought the entire kit, how do I get the red part off the top of the rod?

You make it look TOO EASY! When I try to pull the inside of the pump out to access the O-ring, I cannot get the shaft out of the cylinder. I have this all apart and I still cannot get that out to repair it. My Backpack has only been used once and I’ve had nothing but problems with it...first off, there was a “Cotton Ball” stuffed into the bottom of the pump, just below the steel ball. Now, I am getting a leak out of the top of the cylinder, I’m getting Poison all over my Left Shoulder.
