Jamie Oliver | Shell Deli REVIEW

Failed Italian chain, burger chain, restauranteur, american school meal reformer Jamie Oliver has his face and name on sandwiches and other general chilled refreshments sold at Shell garages. The tie-up between Shell and Jamie Oliver was announce in 2019 and if unsuccessful Jamie will blame electric cars or something, but so far no news is available on how the relationship and sales are going.

It isn't clear who made the first step but Jamie has done this before, selling sandwiches at other retailers but the surprising thing is his ethics at selling his name and face to a petrol station.

His ethics for selling what could be considered junk food while he trashes MacDonald's... the fact he bangs on about fresh good ingredients yet this food was poor quality... any wonder I hate this guy? Bangs on about sugar tax yet sold high sugar drinks in his restaurants and this food I review is high in fat and salt... with higher than I expected sugar and other additives and preservatives and still not enjoyable or flavourful.

Nobody is perfect but the contradictory patronising soundbites Jamie Oliver chats while his companies floundered and while he helped bring in the sugar tax yet puts his name on this junk gets right up my nose.

To be fair, everything I've had in this range has been really nice (Sausage Roll, Cookie, Cranberry Meatball Ciabatta), only thing that was just normal was Pain Au Chocolat (still nice though!)
