Why Should A Woman Submit to a Man?
Показать описание
Is Submission different when you aren't religious?
Ephesians 5:21-25
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
Ecclesiastes 4:9 supports this as well: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?”
Colossians 3:19 says, “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” Be slow to anger and show your wife forgiveness and love. This will allow her to grow from her mistakes, rather than being haunted by them.[3]
1 Corinthians 7:3: ”The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband."
"Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." -1 Corinthians 7:5
In James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed."
-1 Timothy 5:8
Avoid the temptation to be sexually immoral.
1 Corinthians 7:4, "The wife hath not the power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not the power of his own body, but the wife." That means you owe it to your wife to keep your body pure for her, just as she should remain true to you.
”Proverbs 5:20: “And why will you, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?"
Hebrews 13:4 has an even stronger message: “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Hebrews 10:24 : "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
"Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." -Matthew 5:28
Philippians 2:3-8
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Colossians 3:18-24
18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
Job 22:21
21 “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way, prosperity will come to you.
