USB PD would be much more versatile if phone manufacturers stopped vendor locking on their fast charge solutions and deployed PD 2.0 or 3.0 more. PD has that benefit it has 20V level, that it is great for notebooks unlike QC 3.0 that ends at 12 V DC which on the other notebook cannot either utilize or results into super slow charging.

For instance my Samsung S20 was shipped with 25W power supply, I had already 65, 90, 96W USB PD power supplies and third party 18W QC 3.0. The only time I got super fast charging was with shipped 25W power supply. Other PD supplies could only output 15-17W, even though on 9V they could easily output 27 W (9V @ 3A mode)

Samsung charger is not QC charger
But *Fast Charge*

I got multiple brand smartphone.
When I use Samsung Fast Charge charger (derivative of QC) to charge other QC enabled phone, it charge with 5V/2A max.

*Samsung Fast Charge charger is only able to quick charge samsung phone.
