All the world needed from a CE-2 reissue was increased ranges for the speed and depth. The CE-1 toggle is a great addition, but the vibrato mode seems an odd choice since they JUST released the VB-2w... But as long as it has a wider control range... yeah, I'm kinda stoked about this pedal :D

I own one and the reason it sound slightly different that some point out is because it has an improved buffer!! which I think is great :) the quality of the effect is still there!! I own a black label CE-2 and the new waza is easily as good!! with more options added

Where do you set the Rate control to match the CE-1 mode to an original CE-1?

There is a way to make the CE-2W sound hot as the good old CE-2. Simply replace the BBD Coolaudio V3207D with the vintage Panasonic MN3207. The pedal will lose that sharp feature in the tone and gain more midrange which will result in a warmer sound. If you want the exact sound of the old pedal, you should also replace the V3201D with the MN3201. In CE-1 mode it will sound just like the vintage CE-2 but will lose the depth of CE-1 mode.

Sounds good! Clearer and more responsive than the CE-2, but a bit less warm. Maybe a bit too clean.... it seems to be taking the edge off the tone on the Les Paul. But I guess if you want a really clear sound with Chorus it's perfect.
