If I can recall, there are two more ways to defeat Gurlugon. 1 is where you find a floating target and shoot it to drop a washpan on Gurlugon to defeat him. The other way is another hidden target that you can shoot that will cause a colossal white genome soldier to appear and both kaijus will fight each other.

I found Gurlogon a pretty hard boss (you have to act quickly and snipe his points with a shaky hand). I had no idea the book was his weakness!
