Exploring The Unknown Arctic

At a time when man dreams of conquering other planets, there exists on Earth an extreme region with many secrets. Beyond the Arctic Circle, the islands of New Siberia are still Terra Incognita. Rare explorers have stepped on these white areas. In 1879, aboard the USS Jeannette, Captain George De Long and his crew aspired to reach the North Pole. They discover islands, later named De Long, but do not reach the famous pole, and the adventure turns tragic. In 2017, as a tribute to these men, an international and multicultural expedition sets off in the footsteps of the Jeannette. The purpose of this mission is to explore, observe, and witness this unknown world, made of white rocks on the ocean and a sanctuary of authentic Arctic wildlife. In the manner of 19th-century explorers, scientists, adventurers, artists, and free divers go in search of this Arktika Incognita.

The expedition gives the impression of taking itself much too seriously, trying to be something it's not, and portraying itself as something it's not. Is it a glorified jaunt? Philosophy washing? Indulgence washing? I don't know, but I wasn't convinced.

Too bad this wasn’t just narrated wildlife documentary of the region. I get so bothered by films of all the many incessant human being commentaries and all the excessive camera footage of so many people having to all be on film or providing whatever voice content if they’re not taking up all the camera time. Even if it’sa vids where it’s designed to be all informative of whatever, I still just don’t care 😂 I only access find myself wanting to watch video of narrated wildlife and Only prefer to watch narrated wildlife documentaries that aren’t filled with intrusive music and loud random people all talking over the annoying music and all saying the same thing that didn’t have to be run into the ground 10x Being said at least ten times 😂. But yeah. I pretty much only ever prefer Wildlife documentaries that are well narrated and don’t have any people in them.

I HATE THAT THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE DOESN'T HAVE ANY ARCTIC CITIES and I LOVE FINDING VIDEOS ON TIKSI. the arctic rail line should be built (followed by highway when its feasible) and the way the Russians should build the coastal towns is by using indoor farming as a back bone of the economy. They should build cities surrounded by small towns with smaller towns/villages and individual houses making up the largest number of settlements. Indoor farming that is used for food/medicine/hygiene should be found mostly in the medium sized towns with some in smaller towns and the cities. Local train lines to connect the smaller places to the city would make them sustainable.
