The 3rd and 4th methods have proven to be helpful and successful. And, of course short and precise :))

very helpful, thankyou. Especially loved that you can just paste your code is VSC and it automatically makes it word ready

Thanks! When I did this with method number 2 I had to disassociate the new style with the normal style before disabling spell check and then save, close, and re-open before the spell check disable would take effect. (Word version 2401) if only there was a way to make the black text white and keep the rest of the colors so I could use a black fill instead of gray! - you can do this by editing the style in notepad ++ before doing the copy.

Also, I use web layout most of the time if there's code in my doc so pasting the code into a single-cell table is useful so I can constrain the width and it doesn't take up the entire width of the page.

I am looking everywhere for help on an issue but cannot find the problem so posting it here in case someone knows? I have a macro enabled report template and upon converting it to pdf codes are appearing in certain headings. Codes like 6B5B or something like that. In this report, it is affecting only the unnumbered headings. Anyone know how to fix this?
