From my perspective, it transforms the original meaning into a song about the perspective of someone who is frustrated by the fact that he is infatuated with someone who he knows is terrible for him. Aside from the topic of attraction to toxic relationships, it also opens up the interpretation into a much wider scope that could also include the sad reality of the mentality of those who have fallen prey to drug abuse. Truly creative, innovative, and an excellent discussion piece by an artist with a high degree of understanding in his art form.

I’ve been listening to this song for 4 years already and still cry each time. The reason why is because I think of a woman I haven’t met in person yet but loved my whole life and secretly call her my wife. I haven’t seen her in person, yet I already know and feel her in my soul (In the heart of Me) . Because I’ve seen this person in my dreams so many times and felt her in my heart and thoughts for so many years, I can’t love anyone else freely because I know they are not “Her” and I think I won’t be able to love anyone else but “Her” for the rest of my life.
