As someone who has been living with MS since 2007, I got to say that this news is a mixed bag. On one hand is good to see all the research as being put into MS since I first started showing symptoms in 2007. Having the disease is difficult so any thing you can latch onto that’s positive has significant benefits. That being said for somebody that has Progressive Relapsing MS and is about to turn 51 Saturday, I was hoping for better news. Without sounding too negative the optimism I have on regaining some quality of life I have lost over the years is slowly but surely dwindling away. Perhaps something will happen down the line which will be able to improve the quality life of those who have the disease or more than likely prevent new patients with MS from having their disease progression trajectory similar to what I have experienced dealing with the Department of Veterans Affairs and their lack of empathy or basic understanding or ability to treat the conditions of MS. Dr. Boster thank you for all the information that you’ve provided us over the years and hopefully you’ll have more positive news in the near future.

My wife was diagnosed in 2015, we are bout to have our 3rd child. I’m optimistic about the future and how these doctors will find new and better ways to help people with this disease.

I've been diagnosed with MS since 2002. I do not have progressive ms. It's nice to hear work is still being done with MS. I have had a lot of issues with menopause and most of the symptoms are being called MS symptoms by doctors. Ladies keep fighting for help when you know something is not MS. I found help through an OB not affiliated with a hospital. Most my symptoms were in fact menopause.

I’m just happy to hear you talk about Non Relapsing Secondary Progressive MS - this has been me for the past twelve years. I now have Respiratory Muscle Weakness and feel twenty years older than my actual age. There is a strange disconnect in my life - I need people to understand that I’m elderly, not middle aged 😂

Super exciting! Eager to hear the PPMS trial results. So glad research and trials are getting closer to stopping progression.

Thanks. It’s so nice to hear news like this that doesn’t start with the phrase “in mouse models….” While I’m always happy when we get closer to ending the scourge of MS among our rodent friends, hearing something related to humans is much more exciting. (Said with a heavy dose of sarcasm, obviously). Happy Labor Day follow MS’ers.
