The plaintiff says the defendant hit her tiny dog with a cane, and the dog ended up losing an eye. Her dog had one surgery already and needs at least two more. She’s suing for vet bills. The defendant argues the dog lunged at him while he was walking his dog, so he was just protecting himself.

Open and shut case. The dog was not leashed. It got out of her yard. It’s her responsibility.

As soon as I heard her say my dog got out and got injured.
Don't own a dog if you can't follow the laws surrounding that possession.

I think JM was more mad that he had no humanity about the situation

How can this woman expect the man to pay for the medical bills of the Pom when she was the one who got out of the yard! And those saying the judge was wrong in her decision are allowing their emotions to make the decision, not the law. 🤷‍♀️

The plaintiff looked like she was hearing blah blah blah when the judge was speaking...

The plaintiff is delusional. He's not a monster for defending himself and his dog against a random stray dog. Its not like he went out of his way to harm your dog...If your dog was secured this wouldn't have happened.

JM gets carried away with her drama. The defendant has nothing to apologize for. The plaintiff's dog came at him and his dog. It's the plaintiff's job to contain the dog, with a fence (that it slipped through) or on a leash. JM goes off on a tirade because the defendant wasn't sympathetic. He doesn't have to be.

If that Pomeranian had been a pit bull and escaped enclosure, Judge Milian would never make the defendant apologize. The focus should be on the responsibility of the dog owner, not the breed/size of the dog.

Sasha went through what she went through because of your negligence

If it was a loose pit bull, she wouldn’t be saying you should apologize that your dog attacked mine lol

Same result as if the dog ran into the street and got hit by a car. It all comes down to the owner's behavior.

Why is the judge acting like this dude did something? Just bc it's a little dog doesn't mean it's not a threat. It got out the fence and ran up aggressively, she doesn't have any control of her dog.

It's incredible that they're making him apologize for self defense

I hate that she shamed him into apologizing for her loose dog getting injured while attacking him and his dog. F that....the owner is at fault 100%! I guarantee that was not the only time the pomeranian got out; she's looking for someone to blame....blame yourself!

That man does not need to apologize, he was defending himself and his dog . Period, her emotions is her problem

Did plaintiff apologize for putting the defendant in this situation? Her dog is still alive, makes no matter that it is missing an eye, people adopt animals with disabilities or a defect all the time. My friend had a German shepherd that as a puppy had to have its front leg amputated and that dog lived to 15 years old with that disability. She should be glad her pet is alive, well and adjusting.

That plaintiff is such an airhead. Your dog got out, you’re lucky the dog didn’t get killed by the Shepard. Feel bad for the dog not the owner.

I’ve been attacked by dogs when out walking in my neighborhood. Attacked and bitten. I carry a weighted baton with me now. If a dog comes at me they’re going to get hit.

My grandparents had a pomeranian when I was growing up, and that dog was just plain MEAN and nasty. I can absolutely believe her dog attacked this man and his dog. Cute doesn't equal sweet. This woman needed this dose of reality.
