STATIK: The Systems Thinking Approach to Implementing Kanban - David Grant - Agile Cymru 2018

STATIK is a powerful approach for implementing Kanban with a service team.
This talk will start with a brief introduction to the Kanban Method and systems thinking followed by a walkthrough of the 7 stages of the approach, namely:
Understand the Purpose of the System
Understand Sources of Dissatisfaction
Analyse Demand and Capacity
Model the Knowledge Discovery Process
Discover Classes of Service
Designing the Kanban System
Roll Out
For each stage, I'll provide some tried and tested tools and techniques for building your own workshop based on lots of successful STATIK workshops (and a few unsuccessful ones).
About The Speaker
Dave is an independent Agile Coach based in Cardiff. He works with organisations to help improve the flow and quality of the software they deliver using methods such as Scrum, XP and Kanban and has a particular interest in lean product development and test-driven development. His agile journey started when he read a case study on Scrum while working as a software engineer, and he continues to learn every single day.
