~Deborah Lynn Thurmond(born Sept. 30, 1953), known professionally as Deborah Allen, is an American country music singer, songwriter, author and actress. Since 1976, Allen has issued 12 albums and chartered 14 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, most notably the 1983 crossover hit "Baby i Lied".
It was in 1983 that Deborah Allen moved to RCA Records, where she achieved her greatest success, releasing the album "Cheat the Night'. The first single from the album became Allen's signature song, "Baby i Lied" which reach #4 on the country charts and #26 in the Billboard Hot 100. The song also climbed into the Top 10 of the Adult Contemporary charts.

Sandy thank you for this wonderful video, of a truly timeless song. This song truly resonates with my heart, especially when me and my gf broke up we are now back together for good. This song hits home for me, we said some mean things to each other, then one night she came over crying I played this song and I told her this how I felt.
