The Intersection of Multimodal Transportation and Equity

The discussion will be centered on multimodal transportation’s unique equity considerations. This broad topic explores urban design, planning, transit, freight, and active transportation needs and the communities that rely on different means to cross the bridge. With the program actively taking in voices from various communities, this roundtable will focus on hearing from individuals with experience with trying to center equity on a multimodal project. Equity-priority community members will be invited to participate in the discussion of multimodal considerations for the IBR program by asking questions of our panelists. There is plenty of room to discuss not only who uses the bridge, but how, and even why that information matters. Panelists will feature diverse perspectives on the topic from different disciplines and experiences.
