It was a real pleasure to catch up with Tommy Emmanuel and Jerry Douglas backstage at Royal Festival Hall in London. They were in town for one night only as part of the Transatlantic Sessions series of concerts and I was dispatched to interview them on behalf of The Guitar Magazine. Dirty job but someone had to do it!

This is great, what effortless, fluid playing. You know, it's sometimes more enjoyable to catch a great artist just casually going through a routine for the hell of it rather than witnessing a full blown performance. Another example, if I may make so bold, was your impromptu jam with Ben Walker a wee while back; only lasts a couple of minutes but its one of the nicest pieces of yours (and his) I have listened to.
