Walking in Oban, Scotland | July 2022

A walk around the seaside town of Oban in Scotland. We walk by the ferry harbour, shops, cafes and distillery before taking a look 'McCaig's Tower' and the view over the town. Oban is known as the seafood capital of Scotland.

Love going to Oban for ferry trips to the islands and sails on Waverley paddle steamer at end of May. Sheesh that piper doesn't give up!

I worked in Oban from 1972 until 1975 I was a chef in the great western hotel on the esplanade beautiful town

Also a trip on the jacobite steam railway 🚂 Glenfinnan viaduct made famous in the Harry potter 2 / franchise (chamber of secrets)
from fort William to mallaig and also a day trip to Oban on Caledonian coaches
So this is part of my research .

I relocated from Essex to Scotland in August last year and moved into my flat in May, just 2 minutes' walk from the harbour. Great place to start a new life!
