Chuck Sipes was one of those guys you saw in the ads in the comic books when I was a kid in the lat 1960's & early was (and still is) a legend to me. Thanks Josh for remembering Mr Sipes and honoring him with this video.

I remember an interview with Chuck Sipe's daughter, after he passed away. She said that when he told the young man when to have his daughter home, they always had her home early to avoid his wrath. I was always impressed by his ethics and strength -- both moral and physical.

I did the 1-10 in the early 90's and we rested only 5 seconds between reps. We never went back down though. I did these on the pec deck machine and the pump and soreness afterwords was crazy. 2-3 days later having a shirt on hurt. Lol I'm 52 years old now and still enjoy lifting. I change things up, Now i start out with heavy weight for 10 reps, almost to failure, go down the mountain for 4 sets, then go back up the mountain to my starting heavy weight. Good stuff Josh..

Thanks Josh, I always admired those old timers, for their real world strength as well as having amazing physiques. This inspires me to train harder, just knowing a lot of these guys did a full days 10-12hrs like myself and then went to train. In HS and College it was easy eat, train, rest grow. Real life is the real challenge no ideal situation just Git er done. Thanks again for spot lighting these pioneers of strength and physique. I have no doubt that 15-20 yrs from there will be guys spotlighting about Josh Bryant's techniques and accomplishments, not that they don't now. 💪🏼👍🏼

Not for the faint hearted. Just done this one. Leave the ego at the door. Go lighter but stick at it. You hit the wall around the eight set point. Awesome. Just what you need to mix it up.

Used to do something very similar to this in high school, had a Strength and Conditioning coach who had us do this every once in a while. Definitely a good, and much needed gut check for us. He somewhat simplified it and had us start with a weight we could do for 15 on whichever exercise. Completely forgot about this training style. Thank you Josh for this video and the info! Will definitely be introducing my training partners to this soon!

excellent system josh monster pump endurance and hypertrohy in  one hit  there are so many programmes that have been forgotten it seems to have became about diets preworks and protein powders as opposed to the training prorammes and execution with diet being secondary like it was in 80s when i started thats whats so good about your channel its all about the training

Great video, Josh! I really like this kind of methods to sneak in reps, because something like 10x10 kills me from a psychological stand point. Would recommend this for an intermediate guy or is it just worth it for more advanced athletes?
