Fat is a word that is constantly associated with something bad. It can be seen in everyday lives and media. Being proud of our body type can be challenging at first, and even when the whole world suggests that we think otherwise, it is still up to us how we define ourselves. It is up to us to change our perspective. Fat is not a bad word unless you mean for it to be, as it can be words of acknowledgment that people did grow up having a bigger body type, which could heal our younger selves. Elora Picson is a photographer, writer, and the founder of the Body Empowerment Photography brand, Fat Girl Glow. She has a decade of work in creatives, production, marketing, writing, sales, and photography.
