Seneca the Younger, also known simply as Seneca, was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, dramatist, and—in one work—a satirist of the Silver Age of Latin literature. He was born in Corduba (modern-day Córdoba, Spain) in about 4 BC and died in 65 AD. Seneca is one of the most famous and influential philosophers of the Stoic school, which taught the development of self-control and fortitude as a means to overcome destructive emotions.

These are some of his greatest quotes.
