I would argue with the strikeouts of today’s age and low average of today that means even more. Doing that if he can accomplish it is a major accomplishment, and not some thing that should be undermined. Nobody has done it in an extremely long time and honestly the fact that he is finding a way to be the best hitter on a team with no pop whatsoever is even more of an extraordinary feat in itself because today’s day and age if you can’t hit home runs a lot of the time you don’t matter in this MLB.

Um if he finishes the season with a .400 BA, he would definitely be a front runner for mvp, ofcourse it matters.
My God you would think these talking heads would realize it's harder now to hit .400 than it was 70 yrs ago.
