International human rights law is a body of legal principles, treaties, conventions, and customary practices that establish and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, regardless of their nationality or status. It governs the relationships between states and individuals, as well as the relationships among states.

The reason there is a framework allowing unalienable rights, is because there are legal frameworks that can infringe and diminish these rights to nothing but an ostracization from the legal system alltogether.
